The Alicante Puppet Users Group are organizing a Puppet Install Party at https://www.facebook.com/FreaksArtsBar:

In order to boost the group I am thinking in organizing a puppet install party.

The idea is that all the fellows will return to their homes with a fully working puppet environment

The main points could be:

• Quick explanation about the process

• Install the puppet master

• Install a git repository

• Configure Dynamic environments
• Install the puppet dashboard

• Make some tests

The environment will be installed on a DigitalOcean droplet that recently allows to share the droplets between users so once the environment is installed it can be easily shared (with minimum changes).

Preparing the Party 

There are two scripts (Debian focused)  and the Git repository hosted on http://github.com to make the process more easy, so during the install party we can focus on the important things and not on the mechanic process.

Material needed:

It is not mandatory to bring a laptop as after the party you can run the scripts at home.

If you bring your laptop be sure you have:

•  A virtualization software installed and configured (or an accoung on any cloud/VPS provider) 

• A ready to use minimum debian image

• A pair of private/public keys to allow remote command on the servers

Hola a todos, este domingo 8 de Marzo organizo un evento en Cabo de Palos, donde voy a demostrar el robot teledirigido sumergible OpenROV. Todos los datos del evento están en Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.es/e/entradas-demostracion-en-directo-de-los-robots-subacuaticos-openrov-16050567680
Por cierto, el sitio es Rivemar (el centro de buceo, en el este del puerto), y la hora es de 1200 hasta que nos cansemos. Llevare un ROV funcional para quien lo quiera probar lo pueda hacer. Se que el lugar está un poco alejado de Alicante, pero Cabo de Palos se merece una visita en sí. Espero ver muchos de vosotros ahí!

Hola Techies!

En esta edición del Alicante Tech Meetup vamos a incluir el workshop “Bitcoin para Programadores” y después del workshop seguiremos con el clásico “Copas y Tapas”

En el workshop se explicarán los detalles técnicos del protocolo Bitcoin así como herramientas para el desarrollo de aplicaciones sobre él. En esta primera edición no es necesario traer ordenador personal, ¡aunque puedes traer lápiz y papel para poder apuntar algo!

El workshop tendrá una hora de duración, será en castellano, y el lugar en el Edificio Municipal El Claustro en la Calle Labradores, 6 – 03002 Alicante

Para poder tener una previsión de asistentes, por favor, si piensas asistir ¡inscríbete en el meetup para reservarte una silla!

El workshop es totalmente GRATIS para los asistentes, ¡las copas y tapas corren por cuenta da cada uno!

Si tienes alguna idea y/o quieres colaborar en la organización del workshop puedes comunicarlo, estamos totalmente abiertos a propuestas
